 Handmade Persian rugs are not just throwing rugs that you spread on the floor to add interest to a room. Handmade Persian rugs are works of art that may have taken several weeks for making and it may have taken a very extensive period for making. These products are placed in the houses in the region of origin, but no one goes into one of these houses wearing footwear, and it is may be that the custom of removing the footwear from the feet may have started as respect for individuals that had made these wonderful rugs.

The handmade Persian rugs may be designed from wool, or cotton, or soft silk. When soft silk is used the completed rug is so sensitive that the products are frequently used to hang on the wall as design rather than to lie on the floor. All in the do have the common feature of being designed from wefts and warps. These are the names of the two main lengths of string that is used to create the design, the structure, and the load of carpeting.

The weaving of these products begins with the passing of several wefts through the bottom high so as to shape a base. Generally stacked troubles of the colored threads are then linked in subsequent sets of the nearby warps. As more and more rows are added to the foundation rows the troubles that are being linked can provide the load of carpeting. Between each of those rows one or more of the photos of weft will be firmly packed down to create the rows of threads secure.
