Network management and internet tools

Communication is an aspect that defines the success of an action be it in the social life or the technological world of innovation and invention. The world has grown faster in the way the habitats are communicating to ensure that the resources are easily shared especially information. Data is always the most attributed asset in most business prior the introduction of data analytics. The current communication relies on the introduction of the network that describes the communication between communication and computing devices. To achieve the desirable communication within a business, then there is the need for ensuring that the network is well managed and administered. The networks were boosted and advanced with the introduction of internet in the 1970s with the aim of improving the way the resources are shared.

Network management does rely on different developed application to make sure that the networks are readily available to deliver the given function. The internet is known for being a global network that connects the entire world. The availability of the function of eth network depends on the efforts established in the management of the networks. Especially the security issue has been the steering aspect towards ensuring that the networks are managed accordingly. There so many security concerns as far as networks are concerned, and this demands the establishment of management procedures to deliver secure networks that meet the defined functions accordingly. The underlying project aims a providing the understanding and way towards appreciating the different network management aspects alongside the recognition of some of the internet tools. The Internet is the current controller of the world practices and processes.

The project will involve the researcher through the initial activities of appreciating the concepts and principles that define networks, the Internet, the network management and the internet tools. The others appropriate tools are the training regarding the mentioned network management practices and the internet tools. The training will get the researcher equipped with the information that will be appropriate in implementing the practical working with the tools and the underlying network management applications. The final practice will be the appreciation of the knowledge skills acquired and the discussion that regards the understanding of eh proper network management and the internet tools. The project will provide a humble time to the researcher to stand the way of describing the genesis and revelation of eth network management and the internet tools collectively.

Methodology

Action research is an inquiry self-reflective process of identifying the problem and proving the specific interventions to provide the required change. It is also described as being a reflective process in regards to the information it provides and the procedures it takes the searcher through to deliver the given anticipated output. The technique has been known for being a theoretical methodology of research, but it has proven to be a traditional practical methodology that has been applied in different fields to ensure the given objective achieved according to the defined objectives.

Action Research background and description

Action research method has its roots from the idea of Kurt Lewin that intended at improving the relationship of the small societies in the America (Lewin, 1946). He was a social psychologist that worked towards introducing change in the social life of the people in the society. The process has been applied by different social reformist such as Collier, Radke, and Dewey among others.

Action research methodology has been known to have some descriptive characteristics that provide the way of differentiating the research method from other research techniques. The process is known for being innovative. The sense that the researcher will stand to introduce some changes in the way of applied the technique and at the same time the process becomes habitual in introducing new measures of approaching to undertake practices that are not the same as the normal science. Action research has been known for being continual, and so-called pro-active strategically driven. The method is not constrained to some research process protocols that make the process to be paramount in the scientific research rather it is described of being such subservient to practice. The practices of action research are continual since one action practice cannot be done continuously instead get done regularly with the aim of improving the given aspect. The action research has been further defined and characterized by being participatory such that the practitioner must be in direct contact and interaction with the object under research to draw the necessary understanding. Also, the process is featured of being problematised, deliberated, documented, and disseminated (Elliot, 2000; McNiff, 2002).

Action research has been known for being an iterative cycle and even described to take after the spiral model of software development. The iterative nature of the action research inquiry process does comprise the specific steps of the basic action inquiry cycle. The nature in which action research process is applied is the repetition of the steps until the intended improvement is achieved. It is realized that the reflection process in action research technique is quite essential in providing the information about what is to get done. The process involves reflecting on the actual practices done and identifying what to improve and generally monitoring of the activities makes prior provision of recommendation.

Action research has been defined with some ethics that have constrained the application of the process in university researchers to be such biased. The defined protocols and procedures do confine the researcher through getting the participant in the way of implementing activities prior achieving the objective but ends up disadvantaging the other researcher without of the participant knowledge or consent. The effects are observed since the ethical principles that are defined must underpin the legitimized procedures and ground rules established to get observed in applied action research in all the research (Tripp, 2005).

Action research can be implemented in different ways, and this has provided three considerate models that describe some types of action research which are the technical action research, practical action research and political action research (Grundy, 1983). The technical action research is a simple approach that describes eth “fix it approach” such that the action researcher identifies the reflective existing practice that suits the implementing of eth given intervention and implements the practice in its innovative way to make sure that the improvement is affected. It is termed as technical by the fact the researcher is acting in a mechanical fashion. The practical action research such that eh researcher does design the changes made and implements them differently unlike taking the practice directly. The practice is changed and redesigned. The political action research involves the researchers working against others to introduce the anticipated change. The practice is widely applied in the social world.

Action research process

Action research process is known of applying the action inquiry process steps that are known of involving the action researcher through four specific steps of planning, acting, observing and reflecting. Each step is defined to carry its weight in the development of projects such that an activity must be done sequentially through the steps until the intended improvement or change is observed. The process is known of beginning with a reconnaissance that defines the participants, the intended practices, and other activities prior the developing of the planning to the project. The planning step is always long as it provides a substantive description of all activities required to get implemented to achieve the intended change. The activities are described how they will get implemented as well. The acting step is such simple to have the involvement of the action researcher through the implementing of the defined activities by adopting different methodologies that suit the given practice. The third step is the observation that involves the studying and examining the practices and drawing the relative information and understanding. The reflection step is known of involving the researcher through critiquing of the entire practices within the practice undertaken and giving the desirable recommendation (Tripp, 2005).

Action research application and Project Justification

Action research has been applied in the different field of administration in the government offices. The empowerment programs have applied the action research techniques, the political influence as well. The education sector has been such a good beneficiary of the technique. The project is an educational research means that the action research suits the implementation prior the necessity of interacting with the management systems and the subsequent tools.
