The best things to do when tourists head to the city of Vancouver this season

A great season to take a trip there is in fall or autumn when the leaves are dropping from the trees and there is an array of exciting, seasonal festivals. If tourists are visiting the city near the festival of Halloween they should definitely head to the amazing Fright Nights at Pacific National Exhibition, which will provide a fun evening out. This event at the amusement park along with the usual rides has brilliant live shows and interesting Halloween-related exhibits.

 

Another amazing occasion for travellers to enjoy is the Vancouver International Film Festival, which is held during the last week of September into early October. This incredible event is the best occasion for tourists who want to check out the latest releases of arthouse films. A top cultural offering is the Vancouver Fringe Festival that features hundreds of performances over 11 days in September. This occasion has unique shows that are ideal for tourists who want to experience something a little out of the ordinary. Travellers can have a wonderful evening at the theatre if they head to some of the city’s well-known venues during this season. Great theatre destinations include the brilliant Vancouver Playhouse, Queen Elizabeth Theatre and The Cultch. For sports enthusiasts there are plenty of amazing places to head to including the BC Lions football team’s stadium for a match, and the incredible Vancouver Canucks who play at Rogers Arena. The Vancouver Art Museum is a superb choice of venue for the whole family with plenty of historic and contemporary art on display and a lovely café to relax in after a visit there. Of course it is an excellent activity to just have a leisurely stroll in Stanley Park or along the beachfronts in this gorgeous city.
