What Should You Eat Before and After Yoga

As a general myth people believe that being empty stomach helps you for the fullest of the workout which is entirely a bogus or false information, doing any form of exercise with empty stomach is not advisable as when we are empty stomach we are at our lowest blood sugar level which can lead to various after effects like dizziness and blackout, it also affects the efficiency of our workout. What to eat before yoga

Before the posture session avoid adding any technical heavy meals in your daily routine, why not try out some light options that are good in sucrose content and can give you energy but at the same point of time are not heavy on your stomach which can hinder your workout speed. Options like apples and Avogadro are good when it comes to fruits as they have the right amount of fibres and promotes fat break down easing out your protein loss during rigorous exercises.

One or two slices of whole grain bread along with banana will also serve the purpose well. The whole idea of eating before a session is not to fill up your abdomen with food but to give the body the right amount of calorific values so that the body finds it easy to push the limits to attain the desired results.

Still, if you are very concerned about calories intake and are suffering from diseases like diabetes and want to avoid bread or fruits in early morning start you can have green juices they are refreshing and are loaded with nutrients like calcium iron and potassium. Any mixture of green vegetables blended together will be perfect like spinach.

What to eat after yoga

Any post-exercise meal is focused on the protein intake and yoga is no different in the same sense of logic as the loss of protein can be avoided or if already done during the session then can be replenished by the post asana diet. Try out recipes which are loaded with fibres and protein you can start with simple boiled eggs depending upon your workout timing it can range from 2 to 6 or as advised by your trainer. Oatmeals and quinoa are also a good source of fibre and act as wonderful post-workout dish. You can also give a try to the vegetable salad which contains boiled veggies and salsa. To drink, a glass of almond or cow milk will be the perfect combination.
