What is arthritis?
The term arthritis includes about a hundred different conditions that usually cause pain in joints, tendons, bones, and other parts of the musculoskeletal system.

Inflammation may be a symptom of arthritis, but not all forms of this disease are characterized. Inflammation is due to a normal reaction of the person body when tissue is infected or irritated. The area of ​​the body will be marked by swelling, pain, and redness. This is called a type of inflammatory arthritis.

A disease in many forms
The two main forms of this are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis (rheumatoid arthritis/rheumatism).

Osteoarthritis, or osteoarthritis, a chronic disease of the joints, is the most common form of arthritis. It is characterized by mechanical and diurnal pain during joint movements. It is a disease that produces in abnormal degeneration of cartilage. Repetitive movements and strain injuries can be the causes of this disease. Lack of physical activities and excess weight are two other important factors to consider in the course of osteoarthritis.

Rheumatoid arthritis
This is a type of inflammatory disease that affects more frequently people aged 40 to 60 years. The joints usually affected are the wrist, feet, and hands, but other joints can also be affected.

Many other forms of arthritis can occur with distinct characteristics. Notably, psoriatic arthritis, which is accompanied by skin lesions typical of psoriasis. Also, infectious arthritis is also known as septic arthritis, which comes from a bacterium, a fungus or a virus and causes inflammation in the joints. It appears suddenly and is usually accompanied by fever and chills or discomfort throughout the body. It can affect only one joint, sometimes more.
