The most important moment of my life

There are very many important moments in our lives such as graduation, marriage, and even having your first baby. In my case, the most important moment of my life is when I graduated from my college. The day marked one of the happiest days in my life. It was not just a happy day for me, but also for my family as I was the first in my household to graduate from college. My parents did play a significant part on this day as they have always been there for me to provide with support and encouragement when I need. I had not only accomplished something after many years of hard work, but my family, friends, and community were there to congratulate me.

Before the program, I decided to take pictures with my friends because I knew that I would miss these people. They helped me all through my college education and made very close relationships. I also considered taking some pictures with my parents around the school just to keep some memories of the great role they played in my college education. Education is not an easy task as it involves a lot of studying and doing exams. So, on this day, I felt that I had achieved a lot throughout the years I was in school because finishing college is not easy, but the reward is so big, and it deserves all the work.

After the graduation ceremony in school, I had to say goodbye to my friends and headed home together with my parents. I knew that my parents had planned a graduation party for me at home, but never thought of how many people would be present. To my surprise, there were a lot of people invited including my childhood best friend and even my neighbors and other friends. Let’s just say that every person who knew me or my family members were at the party. Since we are Indians, my parents considered having an Indian themed party. There was Indian food prepared by my aunts, Indian décor, and even Hindi music. The party was amazing, and most of all, my friends who are not Indians enjoyed everything about the party. They had the opportunity of interacting with our people and also got the chance to learn more about our vibrant culture. Everything went smoothly and according to plan and the most exciting part was the part where people would provide a present. In the Indian culture, gift giving tends to be a customer as it is a display of affection or friendship. Thus, people started providing gifts, and I received a lot of gifts that took two days to open all the gifts I received. My parents decided to provide me with a car, which they promised to give after I completed my college education.

In the evening, some people started living, but it was not the end for my age mates and me. We had an evening party planned where there was a lot of partying that included playing games and also enjoying different drinks. I consider my graduation to be the most important moment in my life as it involved completing one stage of my life and moving to another level that involved getting into the working class.
