Ahead of the four-match Test series against Australia that will start from December 6, Team India is playing a 4-day practice match against Cricket Australia XI that started from November 28 and will continue till December 1 at Sydney.

The heavy showers washed out the opening day of play at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Wednesday. Ahead of the four-match Test series, India was anxious to get some batting practice as this is their only chance to get some practice in Australian soil.

India’s Young openers like Prithvi Shaw, Cheteshwar Pujara, Hanuma Vihari, and Ajinkya Rahane were quite impressive during the four-day warm-up match.

Team India captain Virat Kohli scored 64 runs on the second day of the four-day warm-up match between India and Cricket Australia XI on Thursday. Aaron Hardie who is the uncapped Australian teenager caught Kohli.

After the crucial wicket of Kohli, the 19-year-old Australia pacer hogged the limelight. It was Aaron Hardie latest high-profile victim after England skipper Joe Root. He dismissed Joe Root in a similar warm-up match last year.

Team India preparation for the first test began by scoring 358 all out against Cricket Australia XI.

Virat Kohli had smashed seven fours and a six against before Aaron Hardie dismissed him.

Hardie ended with 4/50 off 13 overs. He is one of Western Australia's most exciting prospects. He has captained the state at under-17 and under-19 level and earned a rookie contract for the 2018-19 season.

Prithvi Shaw, Cheteshwar Pujara, Hanuma Vihari, and Ajinkya Rahane all managed to score half-centuries but KL Rahul the only one of India's main batsmen failed as he scored only three.
