Rishabh Pant?s tribute to MS DhoniPosted by Atin Jain on December 12th, 2018 Rising star wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant during the IND vs AUS first test at Adelaide became the first Indian wicket-keeper to claim 11 catches in a Test match. Rishabh Pant equaled Englishman Jack Russell and South Africa's AB de Villiers record for the highest number of catches taken by a wicket-keeper in a single Test. Pant, in the 2nd innings, smashed Nathan Lyon for 18 runs in an over. Pant hit a hat-trick of fours and a six. Rishabh Pant on creating record said, "I never thought of the record but it's good to take some catches and put it inside my kitty. It's good to have milestones, but I'm not thinking about that too much." Former Indian Captain MS Dhoni was Pant’s mentor and he has sharpened Pant’s skills. Dhoni has also trained so many upcoming wicketkeepers just like Pant. Rishabh Pant paid a heartfelt tribute to MS Dhoni. On Monday, Indian National Cricket Team won the first test match of the four-match test series and took the lead 1-0. Pant praised MS Dhoni as 'country's hero' and said he has taught him how to deal with pressure situations. Rishabh Pant said, "He's (Dhoni) the hero of the country,". Pant further told that Dhoni as a wicketkeeper and as a player has taught him to be patient in pressure situations like it happened in Adelaide. Dhoni said, Rishabh Pant, that he needs to keep calm and keep composed and try to give 100 percent. Rishabh Pant also told that when Dhoni is around him, he feels more confident as a person. He has learned a lot from Dhoni as a person and as a cricketer as well. Pant told that if he has got any problem then he can share it with Mahi and get a solution right away.
