Ingredients required to make pahadi paneer recipe

  • Cottage Cheese (paneer) - 2 cups (cut into 25 mm (1") cubes)
  • Onions - 1 cup (cut into 25 mm (1") cubes)
  • Capsicum - 1 cup (cut into 25 mm (1") cubes)
  • Tomatoes - 1 cup (cut into 25 mm (1") cubes)
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - As per taste

To Be Ground To A Smooth Green Marinade

  • Mint leaves (chopped) - 1 cup
  • Coriander leaves (chopped) - ½ cup
  • Jeera (cumin seeds) - 1 teaspoon
  • Green chillies (chopped) - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh cream - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh curds - 2 tablespoon
  • Salt - As per taste

The Process to make pahadi paneer tikka

1) Take a toothpick and arrange a piece of paneer, capsicum, onion and tomato onto it.

2) Repeat the same steps to make the remaining tikkas.

3) For marinade, add all the ingredients into a blender except lemon juice, fresh cream and fresh curd and make a smooth paste out of it.

4) Then transform the paste into a bowl and add lemon juice, fresh cream and fresh curd. Mix them well.

5) Then add all the prepared tikkas into the marinade paste and coat then evenly from all the sides.

6) To cook, take a non-stick pan and add little oil. Once the oil is heated then place marinated tikkas on the pan and cook on medium flame until they turn golden brown from all the sides.

7) Repeat the same steps to cook all the tikkas.

8) Once done, switch off the flame and remove them and place on the serving plate.

9) Pahadi paneer tikka is ready. Serve them immediately.

10) You can enjoy these tikkas with the chutney of your choice or tomato ketchup.
