“old days,” where data protection and security responsibilities rested solely within organizations’ has completely changed as today, around 17,000 devices are connected to Internet every minute, increasing the number of targets attackers can misusethe valuable data. Also, businessorganizations and governmentall over the worldnecessarily dive deep into heftyprivacy and security topics for examplemass surveillance, data encryption, and levels of security vulnerabilities such as Meltdown and Specter. If a business holds their customer information, it is likely to be able to protect the customer’s data successfully.

In April 2018, a report by Goldman Sachs stated that Facebook, whose 24% of global revenue came from EU, might undergo a negativedownfall of up to 7% due to the regulation of GDPR. That month, Facebook recalibrated operations in a way, where non-EU residents, shifted to the US-based, who earlier fell for Facebook’s Ireland incorporation. Later, this May 25, The EU law came into action which brought a verdict of every consumer having the right to safeguard their data, while porting it from one place to another. Also, placing user’s consent to collect and process data, on top of the priority list.  Ramifications of EU are being noticed all over the globe, despite of being implemented in EU regions.

While all this happening, driving awareness and celebrating data protection, well-known name, Criptext delivers high tech data security for every single user, providing email encrypted environment, protecting the user’s private information from getting invaded. It is the leading email encryption service provider that encrypts user’s emails, using signal encryption, while blocking malicious attackers of privacy. With a mission of secure web, Criptext mitigates data duplicity, improving the end-user experience. With the aim of exceeding user’s expectations, Criptext implements dedicated data security using high-end email encryption service wherein the main concern is data privacy and protection; provide encryption supportingsafe data handling. The underlying purpose isthe reinforcement of data-centric culture, while addressing data privacy. Being able to safeguard data security in the rapidly changing digital revolution is a big challenge, and experts like Criptextbelieves in giving customers the state of mind where need not worry about their data getting leaked.

Concepts like “digital transformation” is an exciting indicator of time, where we are gradually directed towards industrial revolution. “Today, as data has become perhaps the single most critical organizational asset, its provenance and permissions are all important…a data-centric privacy approach can create great value and informed business decision making.”– Michelle Dennedy, Why Privacy Matters.

With enormous innovation opportunities using high-end technologies such as, Internet of things (IoT), and artificial intelligence (AI), concerns for user’s about privacy revolving around their data are also being introduced. User’s need to be made aware of the business, assuring that their data is getting protected.Almost 50% of world’s population is available online, as we have entered an era where we are self-surveilling, voluntarilyall the time. “Before long, real-time facial recognition software will link existing video-surveillance cameras and massive biometric databases to automatically identify people,” said Ferguson.

As per IHS Technology analysts, market of Internet of Things (IoT) will include 30 Billion devices connectedby the year 2020. Use of smart cars, recording every place we travel and its speed, high-tech smartphones, and electronic gadgets, clearly signifies the advancements I technology in the modern era. At the same time, there is a significant increase in social data mining, surveillance, and other major security threats, leading to the rise of more law enforcements to get rid of it.Though the current innovations have already set the high standards of future, there could be a lot of difficulty in determining a reasonable expectation of data privacy, as it is in today’s scenery.

We are well-aware of the fact that we are incapable of stopping the use of various products and services online, as we have molded ourselves like it. The EU law handling user’s data, however will have to think of an unfailing methods that can protect user’s private information – all while reducing data invasion. Some of the top companies have already started taking steps towards the protection on their customer’s data, whereas small organizations are still not fully prepared for it- as they consider data privacy an additional unnecessary task to do.
