Jeff died on 29of the month of the June, leaving a note that said that the directors have been giving him a rough time, for instance, making him sing the song “A Little Bit of Good” several times but never getting satisfied with his work.

He played the role of Mary Sunshine in the show as the newspaper columnist, the act that always being played by a man in women’s clothing. They wanted him to quit on his own so that they can be saved from paying him anything.

Even an investigation from NAMCO, the company that made “Chicago” possible have been commenced. Judd Burstein, an investigator hired by the company has not found anything yet that suggests anyone is responsible for Jeff’s death.

A source from the production team declared that the director Bobbie was no doubt exasperated by the performance of Jeff and even once asked him to repeat the song but he in no way yelled or shouted at him or made him sing the song more than twice as the note suggests.

The source also said that after working for 22 years the actor’s has gone through some changes and no longer contain that power he once had in his voice.

Apparently, Walter Bobbie has complained of Loeffelholz being too draggy a few times and Leslie Stifelman, the shows music director seemingly told him off for singing the wrong notes. But the investigation found nothing against Stifelman that plead her guilty.

However, some sources who were actually familiar with the whole situation reported that many of the cast members were irritated by Steelman’s presence soon after the assertions were made on her.

Short after this incident, she took a leave from the show to work on another one of her projects. At that time a vote was taken, inquiring the cast and crew members whether Stifelman should return to the production or not and most of the votes were against her as the source said.

There had been no comments in this regard from both the producers and Stifelman.

But in recent news, Stifelman has been replaced by Rob Bowman. Bowman had worked as the conductor and the musical director for Elaine Stritch for a long time. On the other hand, Bobbie has stayed in the production team.

In an interview on Friday Stifelman told that most of the information that was spread is wrong and that the sources have told all these things from their personal point of view. However, she did not specify what parts were wrong nor did she provide any alternative information on the matter regardless of being asked to do so.

And for the moment the producers of “Chicago” stated that Leslie Stifelman left the team on a happy note just to pursue other opportunities no hard feelings, no further comments on probing.
