How yoga and pranayama helpful for high blood pressure

The word pranayama is derived from the word “prana” which denotes the breath or the vital energy of the body. Prana is the energy responsible for life, and “ayama” means to control. Thus we can say that pranayama is the control over your breath.

There are five types of prana responsible for the different pranic activities in our body, “prana”, ”apana”, ”vyan”, ”udaan” and “samana”. The to most important prana are “prana” and “apana”. Prana denotes the upward flow while apana denotes downward flow and the practice of pranayama helps in achieving the balance in these activities, which results in a healthy body and mind. The yoga for blood pressure cure can be extremely beneficial if done in the right manner.

High blood pressure is a common problem nowadays. It is caused by poor lifestyle and stress, its treatment lies in maintaining a healthy mind and body. You should also try pranayama for high blood pressure, it can be very useful due to its calming effect that reduces stress.
