  • Curd (yogurt or Dahi) -½ cup
  • Water for kneading as required
  • Oil for deep frying

Procedure -

Bhatura Dough

  • Take maida and sieve in a vessel with salt and baking powder.
  • Add sugar and Sooji, just mix it well.
  • Mix Yogurt and again mix it well.
  • Add little water just about 1/2 tbsp and begin to knead
  • You need to knead the dough, just add the water required, make a soft and smooth dough.
  • Take a wet napkin and cover dough with it and keep it aside for two hours.

Frying Bhature

  • Take a deep and wide pan or kadai, pour some oil and let it heat
  • Using dough make small or medium sized balls.
  • To make all balls even, press between your palms.
  • With the help of wet kitchen napkin, balls need to be covered.
  • Take a ball and flatten them. apply oil on both sides and with a rolling pin roll, the ball into oval or elongated shape.
  • Make normal, neither thin or thick bhature.
  • Rotate the rolling board while rolling the Bhature as it much easier than lifting it, since we are not using flour to roll them.
  • Check once the oil is hot, roll the bhature gently into it.
