It would help us to understand the meaningand essence of each of the Beautiful Names of Allah. More importantly, this insight would help strengthen our imaanand love for Our Rabb. Each Name of Allah implies His Attribute. For example, the Name ‘Al-Khaaliq’ means ‘The Creator’ as Allah has made the Heavens and the Earth and everything else that lies in betweenthe two. He is ‘Al Ghafoor’, or the ‘All-Forgiving’ as He, in His unbounded Mercy, forgives a believer who sincerely repents, and repents, and repents. And He forgives, and forgives, and forgives. He is ‘Al-Adl’, or ‘The Utterly Just’, as He is the Ultimate Judge in all our matters. The 99 Beautiful Names of Allah are together referred to as ‘Al Asma Al Husna’ in Arabic, where ‘asma’ stands for ‘names’ and ‘al husna’ means ‘the beautiful’.

The Prophet (SAW) said: ‘To God belongs 99 names, 100 minus 1, anyone who memorizes them will enter Paradise; He (God) is odd (odd number, he is the Only One), and He loves odd numbers (such as 99).' This hadith inspires many to memorise the Names of Allah.

Allah says in Verse 8 of Surah Al Taha: ‘Allah - there is no deity except Him. To Him belong the best names.’

In Verse 180 of Surah Al Ara’af, Allah says, ‘And to Allah belong the best names, so invoke Him by them. And leave [the company of] those who practice deviation concerning His names. They will be recompensed for what they have been doing.’

The Names of Allah occur as pairs across several places in the Holy Quran. For example, Al-Waahid and Al-Qahhaar are two of the 99 Beautiful Names of Allah.

Al-WaahidisThe One, Who Has No Parallel or Equal or Partner.

Al-Qahhaar is The Irresistible Subduer, The One besides Whose Might all creation is helpless, The One who is victorious over all.

Al-Wahid and Al-Qahaar have been paired in the following verses:

If Allah had intended to take a son, He could have chosen from what He creates whatever He willed. Exalted is He; He is Allah, the One, the Prevailing. – Quran 39:4

The Day they come forth nothing concerning them will be concealed from Allah . To whom belongs [all] sovereignty this Day? To Allah, the One, the Prevailing. – Quran 40:16

‘Say, "Who is Lord of the heavens and earth?" Say, " Allah ." Say, "Have you then taken besides Him allies not possessing [even] for themselves any benefit or any harm?" Say, "Is the blind equivalent to the seeing? Or is darkness equivalent to light? Or have they attributed to Allah partners who created like His creation so that the creation [of each] seemed similar to them?" Say, " Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is the One, the Prevailing." – Quran 13:16

‘[It will be] on the Day the earth will be replaced by another earth, and the heavens [as well], and all creatures will come out before Allah, the One, the Prevailing.’ – Quran 14:48

‘Say, [O Muhammad], "I am only a warner, and there is not any deity except Allah, the One, the Prevailing.’ – Quran 38:65

In most Al Asma Al Husna wall frames, all 99 Names are displayed in calligraphy, though some have just a few Names, sometimes one, two, three, or more. They maybedisplayed in one frame, or different small frames arranged together. For instance, someone maybe looking for a wall frame with the names ‘Al Rahman’ and ‘Al Rahem, two Names of Allah that are paired in the Holy Quran. Thus, if you are searching 99Names of Allah wall hangings, you would find a variety of beautiful pieces.
