An Amazing Synthesis of Cultures

Recently, I have the opportunity to witness and take photos of an amazing wedding ceremony where the groom was a Punjabi and the bride was a Telegu speaking girl. It was a love marriage and while covering this marriage as a wedding photographer, I witnessed how two different cultures intermingled with each other to produce something so beautiful. To take photos of this amazing event you need not to be the top wedding photographer of India, but you only have to look at some aspects of the wedding photography closely to take superb shots.

My company is well known in our city and people recognise me as a good candid photographer in Gurgaon. In this article, I will love to share with you some of the tips that will help you to take very clear and high quality pictures of any wedding event. The first thing you need to do is know beforehand what to expect and what are the main religious ceremonies that are to be conducted which you wish to capture. As this was my first experience of witnessing a South Indian wedding ceremony, I had to research what are the main parts of the wedding ceremony that people from Andhra Pradesh follow. When I got to know about the main religious parts of the wedding ceremony, the next part was to familiarise myself with those places where these ceremonies took place. This was to ensure that I get the best vantage point to take clear pictures without any hindrance.

The next part was to figure out what are the social events that follow the marriage ceremony to decide how best to shoot them. I also had to look at the most crucial thing in photography that all photographers will concur with is the source of lighting. If you want to establish yourself as one of the best wedding photographers in Delhi (or any other place where you live), then you need to figure out how best to use the available light sources to your best advantage. As most of the ceremonies are conducted indoors, I had to rely heavily on indoor lighting as well as my flashbulb to take pictures of high clarity. The last but not the least thing that you need to care about is how best to capture the candid moments of the bride, groom, family members and the guests.

After completing the photo shoot, the next part is to editing the photos so that you get the best possible result which will wow your clients. This particular marriage ceremony gave me a broad perspective of understanding the cultural varieties of our great country and how to capture this beautiful mosaic through the camera.
