Feng shui is an age old philosophy that has developed into a practical body of knowledge.

The concept is that, we all wants to achieve a balance and a harmony between our natural environment and our human environment.

While feng shui is based on the concept of chi or energy, Room Design Feng Shui gives you certain tips that you can employ in your room ( your most personal space).

According to Feng Shui, there is always some kind of energy that lingers on, in our surroundings. However, too much of clutter hinders the flow, making the negative energy (shi chi) build up and have repercussions in your life.

While too much of free space can also prove futile because in that case, there shall not be any stay of energy within your space. Thus one has to move things or place things accordingly, so that there is more of sha chi ( positive energy) in your space.

Room Design Feng Shui does exactly that. With the ways and the placements of certain objects you can actually gain harmony with your surroundings.

Some of those ways are enlisted here:

  • Make sure that all your doors of the room are closed at night.

Closing your bedroom, bathroom and the door of your balcony will make sure that the positive energy which has entered room, stays in and circulates properly. You can very well leave a window open for circulation, but the position of that too should be in alignment with Room Design Feng Shui techniques.

Also, Keeping your bedroom closet clean and organized will further create a sense of peace and calm in your bedroom. Understand the interaction between the doors and windows in your bedroom and be sure the energy is not escaping your bedroom, but rather nourishes and strengthens it.

  • Color in your bedroom

A good feng shui room decor is a balanced decor that promotes the best flow of energy for restorative sleep.

Choose shades that are light so that will help in attracting good chi which is shi chi unlike the dark hues that are known to attract the negative energy. Color is a very powerful way to shift the energy in your home and bring the desired results much quicker.

  • Quality of air in your room

Room Design Feng Shui also focuses on the quality of air that comes to your room. Make sure that your room has enough windows that open up to clean and green area, so that there is enough of fresh air and light in your room. Essential oils can also help you purify the air in your bedroom, but be sure to choose actual essential oils. Your windows that open up to isolated spaces, or spaces which are used dumping grounds can bring negative energy in your house.

  • Lights

Lights in your room also play a major role in lightning up your mood. Candles are the best Feng Shui bedroom lighting, as they not only clear the energy but also create a very intimate, warm and healing atmosphere. When buying candles, check to be sure your candles are toxin-free.

All these are the Room Design Feng Shui tips that you shall apply in your room to have a completely relaxing and tension free zone.
