How Model of a person impact treatment decisions

            I believe that every person has a different perspective on the things that occur in their lives. We grow and develop to different destinations in life regardless of living in similar environments. I think that human development has a common basis from birth, but the directions we lead in life vary depending on our beliefs and motivations in life. Human development is an important aspect of their lives since it forms the basis of whatever they purpose to do. The decisions we make in life have a particular driving force that influences them. The way we perceive things in a different way impacts our behavior and engagement with others.    

            The perception of different things in life makes us different from others. We are unique in an own special way right from the biological perspective. Every human being has a different DNA from others that gives them an identity. We tend to behave, believe, and act in a different way from everyone else thereby making us unique. Our convictions about certain things shape our character and define our differences. I believe that regardless of the many influences from others, human beings have a unique way of handling issues that they face in life. We make decisions out of the unique personalities and our beliefs about certain things. 

            Personality is a dynamic organization within an individual of the psychophysical systems that influence their behavior and thought processes. I believe that each person has a unique psychological structure and that there are particular traits possessed by individuals only. However, there is also the influence and interaction of nature and the nurturing environment on personality development. According to Freud’s theory, personality entails several factors that include; instinctual drives, unconscious processes, and the early childhood influences (Schultz & Schultz, 2012). Personal development depends on the relationship between instinct and the environment during the initial stages of life.

            I like interacting with other people to understand their experiences in life and also help them handle the challenging situations where possible. My belief is that whenever I assist someone else goes through an experience; I build a strong foundation for our friendship. The reason for liking what I do is the experiences I had when I was young that enabled me to realize the value of engaging with others. My parents used to have close friends whom they helped one another in times of need. I developed the interest of being social to other people right from my childhood.  

The perspective of my Culture

            I am from the Arabic culture, and I value it since it plays an important role in shaping my personality. The Arab culture has great regard to social loyalty. Family is an important aspect of our Arab Society. My Arab parents taught me of being self-reliant and being responsible as well as being loyal to the family. According to our Arabic culture, the needs of a group are more important that for an individual. The many believes in the Arabic culture helps to shape how I behave, relate with other, and also make decisions. The basis of my character is the strong foundation laid in me by adopting the Arabic culture. I think that it also made me like engaging with others other than thinking of my issues alone.

The influence of the family Culture, School, and friends

            My family has been a great pillar to make me who I am today. The ideals I got from the family influenced my personality and shaped my life. The Arabic culture has also been of importance in instilling the norms that I should follow in life. I think that both culture and family is the greatest contributor to making me be who I am. The love and acceptance I get from the family motivate me to continue doing what I love in life. The schools I have attended throughout my education journey have played a crucial role in impacting knowledge and teaching how to interact with others. There are many things I could not learn from the family and the culture, but I acquired them from school. Friends are important since they help in helping me to go through different experiences in life. Their support and encouragement goes a long way in instilling focus to my life.     

            I think that people learn from different things that they interact with on a daily basis. The family, school, and friends are all important aspects that people learn from. Each of the aspects has a different way of influencing individual character and beliefs. 

            Teleology is the explanation of certain phenomena on the basis of their roles, and not their causes (Gotthelf, 2012). Teleology can help to explain about the future in that people can choose their future depending on what they do today. Thus, the future life will be a product of what individuals chose to do in the present to influence their future lives. However, sometimes people think about the future that instills fear and lack of security that has adverse effects on their health. Too much worry about the future may lead to mental illnesses. Our thoughts should have a control to avoid getting out of proportion leading to mental illness. It starts with deep thoughts, anxiety, stress, depression, and eventually the mental illness.  

            I think that my understanding of the family role and the environment will play a major role in shaping how I deal with clients. I will seek to understand their past life and the influences that people have in life. I will relate the influences with what the clients go through on a daily basis to lay a foundation for the required therapy.
