LCD TV

Watching TV at home has turned into a vastly different experience in the last few years. These days you don't have to squint at a small screen, you don't have to fiddle with the colour dials for ages to try and stop everyone on the screen from looking sick and you don't have to put off watching good films because you worry the small screen won't do them justice - instead all you need to do is buy one of the many high quality TVs out there and waiting for you. LCD TVs have taken television technology to a whole new level, meaning you can rest assured that you'll be enjoying sharp, clear pictures that ensure you won't miss anything in your favourite programmes. These TVs have largely supplanted plasma screens and are made with Liquid Crystal Display Technology and this is an innovation that has been a huge step forward for TVs. The research came from the flat screen monitors developed for desktop computing, these typically offered crisp images and had to be good enough for gaming as well as word processing or online applications, meaning the technology came on in leaps and bounds. One of the biggest benefits of LCD TVs - apart from the quality of the picture - is the fact they are typically very light and slim, meaning it's easy to hang them on the wall - freeing up some living or bedroom space and giving you that cinema feel. You'll also find that it's possible to get some really big LCD TV screens - such as 65 inch sets.
