So far, the total investment has reached 6.46 billion yuan (US4 million). Of 37 projects, six have been completed, with two taking shape and the rest underway. One of the key projects is Nanxiang sewage treatment plant, the first sunken water recycling plant in East China. In its first phase it can process 50,000 cubic meters of water per day and is set to triple capacity in the long run. The site has been built with an ecological park above ground, equipped with jogging lanes, a sports square and fun rides. Besides, the second phase of Jiading No. 1 Social Welfare Institute is in place to respond to the increase in the district?s senior population. The newly established six-floor building, which can cater for 280 people, has been furnished with necessary devices such as emergency beepers and oxygen machines. Medical rooms have been set up for health treatment, health care and rehabilitation. The institute will join hands with Nanxiang Hospital to attend to chronic diseases for hospitalized elders. Also completed and currently in use include a riverside walk and a ramp for G1501 Yongsheng Road, adding to people?s leisure and transport options. Apart from the major projects above, the Oncology Center of Ruijin Hospital has been completed as well. As Jiading?s first national proton therapy facility, it will serve for clinical treatment, scientific research and training purposes. The third phase of the Anting water plant has wrapped up its interior decoration. Corresponding facilities and outdoor piping are almost in place at the same time. Its daily capacity is set at transferring 50,000 cubic meters of water to local residents. Altogether, a total of 11 projects were successfully launched in 2018. The construction for Jiading section of Metro Line 14 and Chenxiang Road Station of Line 11 are moving forward as planned, while the steel frame for the latter is set to conclude capping by the end of January.Like it?
