Digital Menu Boards ? Increase Sales

If you’ve done any sort of work in the promotion of brands and businesses, then it’s likely you’re already familiar with digital signage. This deep into the digital age, digitization has very much seeped into every facet of business; and that includes the most basic elements of brand promotion.

And while you’re also likely pretty aware of the general advantages of digital signage, you might not yet be aware of how the restaurant industry, in particular, can benefit from proper usage of this phenomenon of the age of digital advertising.

See, unlike many other varieties of business, digital signage for restaurants can be used for a great deal more than just the sign out front.

As you might have guessed already, we’re talking about digital menu boards. If yours is a fast-food restaurant, where patrons stand in line to order, giving them a wall-mounted menu to peruse is pretty much essential to ensure that service flows smoothly; but even if it is a more traditional sit-down affair, mounting large samples of the menu on the walls, or in the front window, can be extremely effective in drawing in the notice of fresh patrons.

And needless to say, making these wall-mounted menus digitized can be a major asset. Ours is a day and age where uncertain economic stability can bring about frequent fluctuations in pricing. Menu display boards that can be changed digitally mean that different prices can be updated as soon as they are implemented, without wasting the resources necessary to print out new menus, and avoiding any possible disparity between displayed and actual prices.

And then, of course, there’s the promotion potential. We probably don’t need to tell you that implementing regular specials can really do a lot to keep the customers coming back for more. And with a digital menu, you can give your specials proud frontal display the moment you think of them, even if they’re totally new. This sort of fresh, exciting approach will keep the hungry patron returning regularly.

And of course, aesthetics can also be a serious advertising asset. Not only can a digitally displayed menu be altered more easily and more freely than a printed one, changes can be implemented far more slickly and quickly, keeping them in line with whatever change in circumstances may occur. Want to make sure your digital menus aesthetically match up with your restaurant’s new interior decor? Has your franchise implemented a new brand identity that calls for a fresh revamp of your menus’ layout and color schemes? Do you want to give your menus a look of festive cheer for the Christmas season, or implement some other seasonal aesthetic that you’ll need to take down the moment the season passes? With digital signage menu boards, all of this can be done with the tap of a few buttons, and undone just as easily.

Basically, whether your restaurant is fast food or five-star, franchise or family-owned, there’s so much to be gained from bringing it into the digital age completely.
