How I Stay Focused On My Goals Despite Derailing All The Time

Staying focused is hard.

It seems like everyday there are a million things pinging or vibrating or going off and begging for your attention. Which makes it unsurprising that most of us can't quite keep focused on one thing for very long.

This easily leads to reaching your goals taking forever. And inevitably you get frustrated and you end up slowing your progress even more! It can easily turn into a never ending feedback loop.

A Planner to help you stay on top of your goals can help. Especially if you tend to overthink things and your thoughts get jumbled in your head and you can't keep everything straight. While yes, you can make a quick to do list on any old piece of paper, when you keep a planner with pages that go together and day in and day out you see your progress piling up as you cross things off your to-do list, then you make sure you're keeping a log of your progress, which helps keep you motivated to keep doing your best day in and day out.

Quicken What You Can

There are lots of ways to make sure you make the best out of your day. One of those ways is automating what takes you a long time and distracts you from being as productive as you could be. For example, learning to make quick meals helps you make sure you aren't spending hours in the kitchen cooking something.

Instead, you know a few quick recipes ahead of time that you can throw together (crock-pots are perfect for this). This SAVES you so much time, its not even funny.

There are lots of ways to make sure you aren't wasting time on unnecessary things. Taking the first step to improve one of those things in your life can go a long way.

Learn To Automate

Besides cutting down the time that you spend on mundane things that you don't need, learning to automate things that take up mind space unnecessarily. This can mean setting your bills on autopilot, making sure you schedule a check in with your finance person once per month, etc.

Automation can be a huge lifesaver when you're making money from home. Because you're your own boss, and you're responsible for your own schedule, to-do list, and finances. So automation of as many things as you can simply makes sense.

There are lots of ways to automate things. The first and most vital step is to create a list of all your monthly payments and see how many bills you can automate by logging in online or making a few phone calls. There's nothing better than having the peace of mind to know that your most important things are taken care of and that you can go on working without worrying about the little things.

Taking Small Steps Makes A Big Difference

And that is seriously so true. The part people have the most trouble with is starting and making sure you don't let anything get in the way of resolving to organize your life about the things you care about most.

It helps to decide what kind of person you want to be, and making that part of your identity. Its another way to make sure you're producing as much as you possibly can, according to your ambition and your goals or course.
