Honda Rider Jorge Lorenzo explains how he got into the very stupid accident right before MotoGP 2019 while training on track. The so called stupid accident left him with a broken scaphoid. He undertook surgery two days after the accident happened while his dirt bike training on Saturday.

He explains how it all happensat the factory Honda 2019 season launch in Madrid, the rider told that it was his first day at bike training in some Italian dirt track. The biggest misfortune was that the wrist which got injured has already been injured before. During a crash in Thailand last year the rider has injured his wrist and it still was not healed a 100%. The pressure on the wrist while he was involved in the dirt bike accident was enough to cause the scaphoid to break.

This also means he was not totally fit at the time of the debut on the Honda MotoGP in post season testing. And this recent incident caused a major setback to his first campaign with Honda.
