Disorders That Need Immediate Troubled Teens Treatment

In today’s scenario, it is common to apprehend teenagers with emotional problems. During teenage period youths undergo various changes in themselves as they try different identities to finally choose one, they think best suits their personality. During this process, they face several severe problems like mental illness, substance abuse, or other behavioral problems. It is essential to recognize the problems that these kids going through as soon as possible. Parents also need to intervene when behavioral pattern goes beyond the hold of outpatient therapy and needs immediate inpatient treatment.

Residential treatment centers which are also known as teen rehab centers work for the betterment of the struggling teens in a residence like setting. 1- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD): The noticeable symptoms of ADHD are inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity which need immediate help of a residential treatment center. 3- Bipolar Disorder- Undiscerned mood swing is the symptom of bipolar disorder in a teen which causes excessive restlessness at one time and extreme happiness at other. This mental disorder is also known as manic depression which requires immediate treatment.

4- Substance Abuse: Abuse of substance is the condition when teens consume substance like alcohol, drugs or anything that is not even a drug in an excess to amount as prescribed. The intervention of teen rehab centers as it may cause serious impairments like health issues, social issues, disabilities, impaired control, or failure to meet responsibilities.

5- Conduct Disorder: Conduct disorder must not be misunderstood as bipolar disorder. Teens with conduct disorder are viewed as delinquent instead of mentally ill. It is an emotional and behavioral disorder where teens find difficulty in following rules and behaving in a socially acceptable manner. These teens should be given inpatient treatment as they can be harmful to others.

6- Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD): It is difficult to differentiate between teens with a strong will or with ODD. Teens with ODD possess argumentative and defiant behavior, vindictiveness, and angry and irritable mood. This problem calls for guidance by designated professionals at residential centers to make them aware of rights and wrongs.

Such disorders are extreme in nature for which early troubled teens treatment is crucial as teens need special assistance and guidance which are essentially provided by the highly professional staffs under residence like setting.
