When it comes to the brain development of your baby, nutrition and stimulation are two of the most important aspects that help shape the baby’s development.

The fact that nutrition plays a very important role in the brain development of a baby has been known for over 100 years now. Research states that our brain is the most valuable physical possession that we have. It controls our entire body system, thereby driving our entire existence, comprising of our personality, emotional well-being and intelligence.

A brain that is functioning at its optimum level is the ultimate key to leading a successful and a fulfilling life. So making sure that you and your baby is getting all of the right nutrients will make all the difference in making sure that they receive foods that are good for the development of the brain. What you eat during pregnancy directly affects your baby.

Thus make sure that your nutrition during pregnancy is being taken care of. Vitamins are one of the most important nutrients when it comes to foods that are good for your baby’s brain development. You can get vitamins in a variety of foods as resources. Out of all the vitamins, the three of the most important ones are Vitamins A, C and E, due to the role they play in the growth and the development of the baby’s brain and nervous system during pregnancy.

Due to the crucial role these three vitamins play in the brain development of the baby, their deficiency in a pregnant woman’s diet can seriously affect the growth of the baby’s brain and nervous system.

Some of the foods that are rich in Vitamin A are milk, green and yellow vegetables, eggs, spinach, carrots, potatoes, broccoli, etc. One of its main benefits is to aid the brain development and the overall foetal nervous system in the growing baby.

Another important vitamin that is necessary for the brain development of a baby is Vitamin C. The deficiency of Vitamin C can result in an increased oxidative stress, poor brain development and impaired neurological development in growing children. Some of the foods that are rich in Vitamin C are citrus fruits, green beans, broccoli, tomatoes, potatoes, papaya, etc.

Giving children Natural Vitamin E is also very crucial. In fact, the supplementation of Vitamin E is associated with the improved brain development in children. Foods rich in Vitamin E include nuts and seeds, spinach, cereals, etc.

It is not that hard to stay healthy – simply think about the benefit of your baby and you will be rearing to go! If you are finding all of the tips to lead a healthier lifestyle hard, then simply start by incorporating one habit at a time, after consulting with your doctor.

Your nutrition during pregnancy, the light exercises that help you stay fit and energetic are very important but you also need a good amount of sleep every night. You need atleast eight to nine hours sleep every night. If your are finding it hard to fall asleep at night, try changing the position of the pillows to adjust them in such a way that you find a comfortable position to sleep.

As stated earlier, drink enough water and try and keep yourself in a positive frame of mind. Listen to good soothing music and try and talk to your baby. Your baby will get used to your voice even while in the womb.
