First I will be giving definition of piano and then we will come to the types of piano, how to play it, and much more. As all of us know piano is a musical instrument that is played with the help of a key board. Every key is attached with a string that produces a unique sound. Piano is one the most famous musical instrument in the world. Types Pianos are available in different shapes, styles, designs, sizes, colors and portability. There are two main categories of pianos: 1. Horizontal Pianos 2. Vertical Pianos
Horizontal Pianos The horizontal pianos are also known as Grand pianos. These have different lengths, styles, and shapes. Horizontal pianos are further classified into six types. Concert grand piano These are 9 feet long. Baby grand piano These pianos are 4 to 5 feet long. Medium grand piano These pianos are larger than baby grand pianos. Parlor grand piano These pianos are 5 to 6 feet long. Petite grand piano These pianos are 4 to 6 feet long.
Ball room piano These are approximately 7 feet long in size. Vertical Pianos These pianos are famous due to their different heights and styles. The vertical pianos are further classified into four main types. Spinet piano These are small pianos. Height: 35 - 39 inches Width: 58 inches Console pianos These are larger than spinet pianos. Height: 39 - 44 inches Width: 58 inches Studio Pianos Height: 46 - 49 inches Width: 58 inches Upright pianos These are tall vertical pianos. Height: 51 - 56 inches Width: 58 inches Like it?
