The cost is the most challenging thing about starting to learn piano. Of course, a new piano learner spends a lot of money on piano learning books, CDs, teacher and on buying a new piano. There are some ways by which you can reduce your cost, and can learn piano for cheap.

       Friends and Family

Many people in your friends and family have a piano in their houses. Some of them might be getting tired of playing it or may play this musical instrument rarely. So, you can ask such friends to help you in this matter. They might give their piano as a gift or for temporary use.

       Garage Sales

Many pianos are sold for cheap at piano garage. Go there and see if there is a suitable piano available for you, but don’t forget to get your piano checked by a piano technician before buying it.

       eBay and Craigslist

The Craigslist and eBay has a list of pianos for sale every week. Many of these pianos are in good quality, shapes and are offered at very reasonable prices. Even when buying from Craigslist or eBay don’t forget to get your piano checked by a reputable piano technician before buying it.

       Ads in Newspapers

Some people want to get rid of their musical instruments when they get tired of them. They give ads of sale in newspapers. Again don’t forget to get your piano checked by a piano technician. You can also give an ad of buying a used piano in newspaper.

       Piano Movers and Piano storage Companies

Finally, you must check with piano storage companies and piano movers in your area. They often make good deals on a used piano. Call them, introduce yourself and tell them what you are looking for.
