Breast Augmentation

Breast Augmentation or breast implant surgery, to increase the size and sometimes shape of the breast, tops the charts when it comes to one of the most sought after cosmetic surgery procedures. Breast augmentation is a surgery to increase the size of the breast using implants.

Breast lift or breast reduction are different surgeries with different indications.

2. Body Contouring or Liposuction

Liposuction, invented in the early 1980’s by a French surgeon quickly became a procedure that would revolutionize aesthetic plastic surgery around the world.

Sometimes misunderstood, liposuction is not a way to loose weight, rather a means to delicately reshape the body by eliminating localized fat deposits. There can be troublesome areas of the body (muffin tops, culottes, tummy, etc.) that are difficult to eliminate through diet and exercise. For these cases the surgeon would recommend liposuction to remove these fat pockets. The technique uses a long hollow needle, a cannula, to reach these areas through a tiny imperceptible incisions.

Facelift

For this we will inject the patient’s own fat to fill out specific areas that have lost volume due to the aging process. A combination of skin removal and fat injection is almost always prescribed for a facelift patient of Dr Toledo.

4. Buttock Enhancement Surgery or the Brazilian Buttock Technique

With refinements in fat grafting techniques over the past 30+ years, fat injection has now become an accepted part of most Plastic Surgeons tool box. The Brazilian Buttock Technique pioneered by Dr Toledo more than 30 years ago, uses cannulas, very specific surgical instruments designed for this procedure, attached to 60-cc syringes that contain the treated fat for re-injection. The BBL process: excess fat is harvested from areas of the patients’ body, maybe the waist, the back, the legs and elsewhere. The fat is then treated and injected into the buttock area to achieve the projection desired. Needless to say the patient will need to have enough excess fat to obtain this new shape and size. The surgery is usually combined with body contouring surgery and has a high success rate.

5. Blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery

This surgery redefines and tightens this area, the eyes being one of the first indicators of a tired, aging face. As a rejuvenation technique blepharoplasty, done correctly with a delicate hand, is impressive. As time goes by the upper eyelids can become heavy with excess skin and fat as can the lower eyelids, which will distort the delicate eye area leaving the patient with a tired and weary aspect.On the upper lid usually there is excess skin to be removed, plus any excess fat, the incision being carefully placed along the crease of the eye so as to be imperceptible when healed. The lower eye lid, in many cases needs only fat pockets removed, in which case there is no visible scaring.

Lip augmentation or the Paris lip

The aim of lip augmentation is to give the patient fuller and more succulent lips. The preferred choice of filler for Dr Toledo is the patients’ own fat, removed from an area of the body and re-injected into the lips. Dermal fillers can also be used to increases volume. This procedure can be repeated after 6 months. The principle of overfilling the lips should be avoided to give a natural result.

Abdominoplasty

Abdominoplasty is commonly known as a tummy tuck and is used to remove excess fat and skin from the abdominal area. In some cases, especially after multiple pregnancies, muscle plication is indicated. Here the surgeon will stitch the separated muscles of the abdominal wall resulting in a much flatter tummy .
