Gadkari will inaugurate flyover on Dhaula Kuan junction in Delhi on Saturday

Delhi News : Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari will inaugurate a flyover on Dhaula Kuan junction on Saturday. This is being considered as the first step towards the development of the Signal Free Corridor (Corridor) for the Indira Gandhi International Airport. This Dhaula Kua will reduce the time spent on the traffic signal.

Road Transport and Highways Ministry said in the statement that Union Minister Gadkari will inaugurate four-lan flyover on Dhaula Kuan Zakshan near Dhaula Kuan metro station on National Highway 8 on Saturday. The statement said that this flyover will reduce the time required for the traffic sign in the congested time by 30 minutes. This flyover is the first step in the development of the eight-lane signal-free Dhaula Kuan-airport corridor.

It said that due to heavy traffic, it takes 10-30 minutes due to continuous traffic jam in the corridor to cross this section of about 3 km. NHAI has constructed this corridor at an estimated cost of 270 crores. Work on the project began in March 2018.
