Now, Yahoo Mail has added two new exciting features to its apps for iOS and Android to make it even more pleasurable experience for the users. With Yahoo email support, it has become more efficient to use this email client on smartphones.

Reminder feature

Suppose you receive an email from your utility company about a pending bill. With new Reminder feature, you can set a reminder for yourself to pay the bill after 3 days. This reminder will pop up in your phone after 3 days to remind you about paying the bill.

This means you can set reminder within a mail according to your convenience and priority. It is not just the reminder but also the facility to write a note that tells you about the action you want to take that makes this feature of reminder so useful. There is even the option of Manage Reminders that allows you to edit or delete your reminders depending upon your liking.

Unsubscribe

This is another exciting feature that has been added to the latest version of the Yahoo Mail app for Android and iOS platforms. You can now unsubscribe from the mailing list of a company directly from inside this email. You don’t need to go back to your in box as you will see the unsubscribe button that you have to click to stop receiving further mails from the company.  There is no need to panic if you tapped Unsubscribe accidentally as online Yahoo email support as they have given you the option to click on reverse action to once again subscribe to the email. However, this option to subscribe again remains visible for the next three seconds only.

If you are frustrated because of junk emails arriving in your Yahoo Mail account, you can use the Unsubscribe feature to make sure you do not receive any more emails form a particular thread.

By using this new feature of Unsubscribe, you can make sure that your in-box remains free from clutter and you only important emails inside it.

Unsubscribe is found useful by email marketers

Interestingly, even companies using email newsletters also find this feature of Unsubscribe useful for them. They say they will now receive fewer spam votes. They also feel it will motivate them to send more interesting and useful emails to their subscribers. This is because they now know that their subscribers can easily opt out of receiving their newsletter if they find them to be dull and useless.

For existing users, it is necessary to go to Apple store or Play Store to update their Yahoo Mail apps.

In addition to these features, Yahoo is also planning to introduce another feature called unsubscribe recommendation. By opting for this feature, users of Yahoo Mail will receive recommendations from Yahoo as to which email they should unsubscribe from.
