3 Reasons Why People Prefer to Buy Hatchback Cars

With cars, the debate of choosing always reaches, or at least passes, through the question whether one should buy a sedan, hatchback, SUV or a crossover. The truth is that there is no objective answer to this. One should buy the car which best fulfills their expectations and has all the features that they want. However, the latest trend in the car sales has shown that people prefer to buy hatchback cars these days. What could possibly the reasons for the increase in sales? Let us look at them briefly:

1.    Hatchbacks Offer More Than One Thinks
When one thinks of a hatchback car, they think of a small, compact car which is good for perhaps small family vacations or for commuting to and from work. One thing that every car buyer has in mind, which might even lead them to think that hatchback might not be the right choice for them, is that it does not offer enough space. It can be headspace, leg space, boot space, etc. However, most contemporary hatchbacks offer more space than a sedan might offer, so they are good enough if the car buyer is comfortable.

2.    They are Affordable
Of course, there are expensive hatchbacks in the market. In fact, several cars which are listed in luxury cars are hatchbacks. Nevertheless, this does not negate he fact that hatchbacks are comparatively more affordable than a sedan, SUV, or a crossover. This is one of the reasons why family cars in India purchased by people are mostly hatchbacks. They are affordable and offer what the whole family wants the car to have without providing any unnecessary feature that they do not need. For instance, the maruti wagon r top model price is less than that of most sedans.

3.    They are Easy to Drive in the City
If one has to drive during the peak hours in one of the metropolitan cities in India, then it means only one thing: enduring immense traffic. There are traffic jams everywhere and it is tremendously difficult to drive in that environment. The larger the car, more difficult it is to maneuver it in traffic. See how bike and scooter riders scooch in small places and drive their way out of it? A hatchback car is similar. Of course, it will not offer same amount of maneuverability as a bike or scooter, it will still be more than what a sedan or SUV has to offer. This will make driving on the roads easier and more comfortable; making traffic jams more bearable.

Everyone buys a car for a different reason. For someone, a sedan might be the best option, and for others, a hatchback. It all depends on what the car buyer wants and which cars meet those requirements. With time, the requirements of people have changed and perhaps that is why there has been a rise in the sale of hatchbacks cars.
