Important factors to consider before purchasing laptops

Before we discuss about computer repairs, There are some important things that you must keep in mind before purchasing a computer/laptop, especially if you are a student.

Memory:

There are many types of memories in a computer, but two of them are the most important. These are RAM and storage device.

RAM (Random Access Memory):

RAM is used to upload programs by the computer. It holds the data and program in current use. RAM is an essential requirement for the main memory of a computer system. So, always choose a laptop with good RAM. Don’t save your cost here. A 4GB RAM is sufficient.

Hard drive:

Hard drive is the main storage of your computer. This is the place where all the applications are installed, and you can also add more soft wares and programs of your choice here. If your usage is simple like you just use it for web browsing, e-mailing, M.S office applications, then you can buy a laptop with small capacity hard drive which will fulfill your need, and would save your cost as well. On the other hand, if you want to use it for music, videos and gaming purpose then prefer a big hard drive if your pocket allows. It is advisable to get at least a 100GB hard drive.

Processor speed:

Today, the technology is moving much faster. Latest laptops have high speed processors but this feature again depends upon your usage. A formal use can save lots of money here, but for movies and other such stuff you need to get the one with good processing speed. 2GHz processor is recommended for use and this should be the minimum selection level.
