Outlook established on July 4, 1996(as Hotmail) and July 31, 2012(at Outlook.com). Outlook is a well- known part of Microsoft Office Suite and it is a personal information manager. It is one of the best platforms in the list due to its importance and advanced features. In Outlook there are many different versions like Outlook 2000, Outlook 2002, Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007 etc. It mainly used as email application and also includes calendar, task manager, contact manager, note taking, journal, and web browsing.

Steps for troubleshooting Outlook issues in an office 365

 Follow these steps:-

Step 1:- Examine feasible issues caused by add-ins.

  1. Exit Outlook.
  2. Now, open a Run dialog box.
  • If you are using Window 10, Window 8.1 or Window 8 then press the Windows logo key+R.
  • If you are using Windows 7 then tap start and in search box type Run, tap Run.
  1. Enter Outlook/safe, tap OK.
  2. If the issue is fixed, tap options on the File menu and then tap Add-Ins.
  3. Choose COM Add-ins, and then tap Go.
  4. Tap to delete all the checkboxes in the list and then tap OK.
  5. Restart Outlook. If the issue does not occur then start adding the Add-Ins at a time.

Step 2:- Repair Office.

  1. Open Control Panel and then tap Uninstall a program.
  2.  Right- tap the entry in the list of installed programs and then tap change, then tap Online Repair.

Step 3:- Run Outlook Diagnostics.

  1. Open an Outlook won’t start automated diagnostics to fix the issues.
  2. If the tool does not resolve the issue, go to Window or see to start Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant for Office 365(Sara).
  3. Now, choose Outlook, and then choose Next.
  4. Choose any appropriate options, then choose Next:
  • Outlook keeps hanging or freezing.
  • Outlook keeps crashing with a message. “Microsoft Outlook has stopped working”.

Step 4:- Build a new Outlook profile.

Note: - If you ran Sara in step 3 and you build a new profile so you can skip all of step 4.

  1.  Open Control Panel, and then tap Mail.
  2. Tap Show Profiles.
  3. Choose profile which you want to remove and then tap on Remove.
  4. Tap on Add.
  5. Enter a name for the new profile.
  6. Enter the user name, SMTP address, and the password. Tap on Next
  7. Now, you receive the message:

Allow this website to set up alias@domain server settings? So, in this message, you have to tap on do not ask me about this website again, and then click Allow.

  1. Enter your login credentials, and then tap on OK.
  2. At the last, tap on the finish.

Step 5:- Before you contact support, run Sara advanced diagnostics.

In the last step, it will build full information about your Outlook set up and also give solutions for your issues. They give options to upload your results to Microsoft.

  1. Tap on Outlook Advanced Diagnostics.
  2. Tap run.
