What is the difference between PET clear plastic box and PVC transparent plastic

The primary difference is the materials, one uses PET as its material, the other uses PVC, although both materials can be used to produce clear plastic box, but the difference between them is still huge.

       PET plastic is polyterephthalic acid plastic, mainly including polyethylene terephthalate PET and polybutylene terephthalate PBT. Which is known as thermoplastic polyester, or saturated polyester with PBT. It is widely used in various daily necessities, such as mineral water bottles, peanut oil bottles and so on, basically all made by the PET material. PET material is safe, non-toxic, transparent and suitable for food contact.

       PET material is widely used, with good processing performance, low manufacturing cost, corrosion resistance, insulation and other good characteristics, PET products can be seen everywhere in our daily life

       PVC material is used to make all kinds of imitation leather, used in luggage, sports goods, such as basketball, football and rugby. It can also be used to make belts for uniforms and special protective equipment. Generally it is not suitable for food contact.

       Then how do we distinguish between these two materials? The simplest way is heating: PET material is heat-shrinkable, shrinking after getting heated; PVC material softens after heating, is not heat-shrinkage.
