Search Engines works in three steps crawling, indexing, ranking, everyday lacs of           website gets launched on internet after that it is crawled by crawlers of google crawlers are nothing but the bots these bots crawls the website or reads what the website  is about, collects all the information about the website this process is called as crawling. the process of indexing takes place after the page is crawled it is stored in Google’s data this process is called as indexing. Every time google crawl’s  a page  it makes a copy of it and  add its URL to an index.  The last step is ranking, ranking is nothing but the website’s position in search engine result page whenever Google types a query  Google’s algorithm decides which website to be placed at which position .thus search engine works
