CBD Oil for Cancer Treatment: Fact or Fiction?

What is CBD?

CBD has become wildly popular in the last few years. CBD e-commerce sites have emerged left and right, and people are talking about the amazing benefits of this new compound. But what exactly is CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a cannabinoid from the cannabis family found in the industrial hemp plant. It is extracted from the plant and processed into an oil that can be consumed sublingually.  However, it’s quite common to find CBD in alternative forms such as CBD creams, edibles, capsules, or vape juice.

One of the many reasons why CBD has become so increasingly popular is due to its many medicinal benefits. It’s not uncommon to hear people speak about CBD with such a high regard, and although it definitely provides amazing benefits, it still has limits to its natural healing capabilities.

So, let’s separate fact from fiction.

CBD Oil Benefits for Cancer

One of the most widely accepted uses of CBD is to treat chronic pain. I think we can all agree that people undergoing chemotherapy suffer from a variety of physical discomforts.

CBD reduces pain when it binds to the TRV1 receptor. When consumed in much larger quantities, CBD is also known to bind to the serotonin (5-HT1A) receptor responsible for a wide range of neurological and biological functions including appetite, anxiety, addiction, vomiting, nausea, and the perception of pain.

CBD has also been known to reduce tumor sizes. However, this is where the confusion begins.

There are certain cases of people who have successfully reversed their cancer growth through the use of CBD. For example, there is a testimony of an 81 year old man with adenocarcinoma who refused to undergo chemotherapy  and instead self-medicated himself with CBD. To everyone’s surprise, the man successfully reduced the size of his tumor.

Additionally, a study involving mice with pancreatic cancer enforced the idea that CBD can reverse tumor growth. Mice that were treated with both chemotherapy and CBD survived almost three times longer than mice who were treated with chemotherapy alone.

Although CBD can and should be used to treat cancer, studies have yet to prove that CBD can completely eliminate cancer from an organism.

If you or a loved one is suffering from cancer, speak to a physician about including CBD oil in the cancer treatment.

When and if you decide to use CBD as a treatment, there are methods of ingestion that may be more suitable for you.

How to Use CBD Oil for Cancer

We recommend you consume CBD daily either in the form of capsules or tinctures. Both of these products contain only CBD oil. However, the difference lies in the form of ingestion.

If you’re consuming capsules, simply place the capsules in your mouth and use water to facilitate swallowing.

If you decide to go with CBD oil, dispense the oil underneath your tongue and wait a few seconds then swallow.

We highly discourage smoking CBD because smoking as a form of ingestion provides the least medicinal value. CBD oil, on the other hand, is much more concentrated and will therefore contain more beneficial cannabinoids.

You should consume food immediately before or after ingesting Buy CBD Oil.

Be aware that it takes at least 30 minutes to an hour before feeling the medicinal effects of CBD. However, if you are experiencing symptom flare-ups, vaping CBD can provide almost instantaneous relief.

CBD Dosage for Cancer

Unfortunately, there is a serious lack of research involving the correct CBD dosage for cancer patients. The reason being is that every person reacts to CBD differently.

Factors such as weight, metabolism, the type of cancer, gender, and the level of pain, anxiety, inflammation, etc. will all play a role in how a person will experience the effects.

However, we’re not going to leave you empty handed. If you’re using a tincture, the best suggestion we have for you is to choose a strength based off your weight and consume the oil as instructed on the product.

The strength dosage can also be applied CBD e-liquids.

Strength is the term used to describe the concentration of CBD in a product. For example, in the images below, the 1000mg Koi CBD Vape Juice is more potent than the 250mg Koi.

CBD Oil Side Effects

Very few people have reported negative experiences when using CBD. Nevertheless, these incidents do occur.

CBD side effects include:

  • Nausea
  • Drowsiness
  • Diarrhea
  • Anxiety
  • Vomiting
  • Mood swings
  • Dry mouth
  • Changes in appetite
  • Dizziness

The side effects people experience don’t usually arise from over consuming CBD; rather they are a reaction of a person’s unique physiological response to a certain product and its ingredients.

In other words, don’t be afraid to experiment with different brands and different strengths.
