A marketing plan refers to a complete blueprint that clearly shows the overall marketing efforts an organization particularly for the coming year. This program includes a report of the marketing situation, the company positioning, a discussion on target market of the organization and an account of the marketing mix needed to realize the organization’s marketing goals. An overview of marketing strategy forms the bulk of any marketing plan. This paper discusses some of the marketing strategies that an organization can use to succeed. Among all goals for an organization, maintaining and increase sales are the primary target. One of the strategies to meet this objective, one would consider making a special offer every month to a prospect group. Other tactics would include the following.

First is Advertising. An effective advertising strategy will create broader awareness of an organization’s products. That will automatically generate into a lead. Transforming these leads into customers’ results into higher sales and thus increased profit. Another way is by adopting good public relation. This strategy relies on establishing good communication with the public, who are the customers. Good marketing plan should take serious the role of PR in marketing and promotion of a business through creating rapport with customers. With Digital marketing, organizations do so much for less cost. Today, buyers are much educated and will go online searching for products of their desire. In addition, this strategy reduces expenses in marketing and makes substantial sales hence more revenue. Sale promotion is another method adopted in marketing. This approach is highly used to undercut competition. Direct Marketing focuses on promoting the sale of some product. This approach helps build direct contact with customers and creates a chance for appeal of one’s products. Event marketing strategies occurs in terms of trade shows, concerts, plant tours or event meetings. This strategy earns the organization new customers. Outdoor marketing helps the organization to market its products to far places where the customers cannot reach them. That boosts sales and also creates awareness
Conclusion

All this strategies are necessary to make the ends meet for every company. Organizations should thus ensure they have a combination of several of them for use. Two major issues Ethical issues in marketing plan include market research and Marketing Audience. Market research involves exploring the characteristics of the population (customers) and relating this information to enhancing the market. Market audience issue involves discouraging demand from undesirable sectors like past industry attitudes to the gay.
There exist some methods that one can use to measure success of a market plan include: referring to trend on sales, measuring downloads, use of Key Performance Indicators (KIPs).
