The Hero Duet is one of the largest two-wheelers in India at taking its scooter sales to the next level. The Hero Duet is the successor of the Hero MotoCorp that is a brand new unisex family scooter. This new Hero Duet comes with a sturdy metal body, advanced and exciting features and performance.

Design and Features

The front of the Hero Duet gets a big headlight flanked with massive glass indicators and slopes smoothly down to the front fender. In the scooter, the side panels leading up to a sharp but large tail section looks like a bit out of place. Above the rear tail light, you may load your luggage and it has a limit of 10kg.

It comprises of exciting features that come with a semi-digital instrument console where the speedometer and fuel-gauge are analog. Above the digital screen you have an odometer, a trip A and B meter, a service due indicator and on the upper left of the console, it has a side stand indicator.

It has a rear external fuel filler cap and an optional fruit-cargo box and a light in the under seat storage box which has 3.0 USB port to charge your device.

The biggest feature of Hero Duet is the ignition key slot where one turn to the left opens the seat lock and if it turns to the right opens the fuel filler cap.

Engine and Gear Box

The engine of the Hero Duet is similar to the Maestro Edge. The motor of Hero Duet is a 110.9 cc, single cylinder unit generating 8.31 BHP@8, 000 rpm and 8.3 NM@ 6,500 rpm. The engine of the Hero Duet is coupled to automatic transmission. It claimed mileage of 63.8 kmpl.

Ride Handling and Braking

It is quite comfortable to sit, so everyone won’t feel cramped. The comfort on the scooter is increased with advanced features include mobile charging socket, under seat lamp, and luggage hooks. The safety is handled by an integrated braking system which is for efficient sudden braking and tubeless tires for a lesser flat. The weight offers a stable ride, but it affects the mileage of the Duet.

It comes with a 130 mm drum brake for both front and rear wheel. The scooter’s suspension is telescopic forks for the front and mono shock absorber at the rear.

Shades and Variants

The Hero Duet is available in LX and VX variants which offer more advanced features on the top VX trim. It comes in various shades such as candy blazing red, nature green metallic, grace grey metallic, pearl silver white, matt vernier grey, and panther black metallic.

Cost

The cost of the Hero Duet is more affordable which starts at Rs.48, 400 for the LX variant and the VX Variant is available for 48, 900.
