How to Fix Spotify Lock Screen Issue

Spotify is the favorite music player for most of the people all around the globe. However, the users have faced a few problems with the app in the past few days. One of them was that the app isn’t working after locking the phone screen. Initially, the Spotify users used to see the widget on the lock screen with the song details such as the title of the songs, artist name, album art as well as controls to play the songs. 1. Change notification settings

The Settings section allows you to control your phone entirely. Every app has its own set of notification settings. You can control Spotify notifications settings by going to Settings and tapping Notifications  & status bar. Make sure the Show notification icons and Show on Lock screen options are enabled over there. If you do not toggle on these options, you might not see notifications of any of your phone’s app on your lock screen. Now, tap the App notifications section and find the Spotify app settings. Tap on the Spotify app settings in the App notifications and ensure the Show notifications and App icon badge is turned on.

2. Use lock screen manager

Android platform is highly customizable. You can find apps for customizing your lock screen as well. There are plenty of lock screen apps for Android; you can get them from the Google Play Store.

3. Reinstall the app

All of your favorite songs are stored on the Spotify’s servers, and you don’t have to worry about losing them. But still, it is necessary to uninstall in an ideal way by logging out of your account . Then, go to Settings and click on Installed apps. Open Spotify from there and tap Force stop to clear all the activities that running behind. Now, go to Clear data and choose to Clear all data. It will eliminate all the existing temporary files as well as folders from your device. You can now hit the Uninstall button present on the screen and reinstall Spotify by going to the Play Store. This method might show you the Spotify widget on the lock screen of your phone.

4. Disable power saving mode

When it comes to saving the phone’s battery, the power saving mode is an ideal feature. Though, this feature also restricts many apps from working correctly. To turn off the power saving mode, go to the Settings and tap Battery & performance option. Select Choose apps options and configure Spotify accordingly. The settings might be not the same and be a little different in your device.

5. Sign out and then sign in

By signing out and then signing in, there are chances of resolving your lock screen issue as well. Launch the Spotify app and click the Settings icon to sign out from the app. The  Settings icon will be present on the top right section of your Spotify app. After signing out, sign in again with the use of your Facebook ID or email address to see if your problem is fixed or not.
