How is BMS Institute of Technology and Management?

BMS Institute of Technology is well known for providing high quality of engineering education and is one of the tope private engineering colleges in Bangalore.  BMS Institute of Technology Review have always been good not only for the green, plastic free wifi enabled campus but also for it’s multi cultural learning environment and ambience which fosters student communities of interest.  The institution is also a promising research house with many departments being recognized as research centers by VTU since 2005.

BMS institute of technology ranking was 95 in 2015 and 100-150 in 2018 as per NIRF Rank (MHRD, GOI). While 6 UG programs and 1 PG program are accredited by NBA, BMSIT has an “A” Grade accreditation by NAAC.  It was ranked 43^rd by Outlook magazine in 2018 placed in the Gold category by AICTE CII Survey, . Bmsit college ranking was AAAA ( 2017) as per Higher Education Review.

BMS institute of technology Bangalore has won the Best Ornamental Garden award from Mysore Horticultural Society and has a host of faculty achievements to it’s credit.

BMSIT Courses include 7 undergraduate courses in various streams of BE including Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, information Science, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Telecommunication and Civil engineering.  3 Postgraduate courses include MCA, MTech in machine design and MTech in Computer Science.

For admission to BMS institute of technology Courses , candidates need to have passed the 2^nd year PUC / 12^th or equivalent examination with Physics and Math as compulsory subjects and 1 optional subject from Chemistry, Bio Technology , Computer Science, Biology or Electronics with 45% aggregate marks in optional subjects with English as one of the languages.  Admission in bmsit happens through 3 channels;  candidate appearing  in the KCET ( Karnataka Common Entrance Test), COMEDK ( Consortium of Medical Engineering & Dental Colleges of Karnataka) as well as under the Management Quota.

For admission to MTech, the student should have passed the Bachelor’s degree with not less than 50% aggregate marks in BE/ BTech.  BMSIT admission for MCA require that the candidate should have passed the bachelor’s degree with not less than 50% marks and needs to appear for an entrance exam.

BMSIT fee structure is based on the academic scores, performance of the student on the entrance exams as well as on the management’s discretion. The Council of Trustees decides the BMSIT college fees and tution fee for various courses under the management quota. BMS Institute of Technology Fees  are also dependent on the channel ( CET/ COMED-K/ Management quota / Person of Indian Origin) through which the student approaches the college for admission.

BMSIT college placements are handled by the Department of Placement and  Training established in 2004 and today there around 150 organizations that recruit from BMSIT.  The college also has excellent placement statistics with an approximate average of over 85% students placed successfully in 2018.

BMSIT placements is an organized procedure where the department not only facilitates the placement process by coordinating with recruiting companies providing required facilities on the campus, but also by providing a complete training solution to students by involving in house faculty and industry interactions.
