STANDARD REQUIREMENTS
These requirement s are more or less the same in all the states and in the state of Illinois, you must renew your real estate sales agent license every two years. You will receive a renewal notice approximately ninety days, or three months, before your license expiration date. You may not renew your license prior to receiving this notification; however, you are allowed to renew your license up to six months after the expiration date through Illinois real estate continuing education. If you wait to renew your license after six months and up to two years past the expiration date, then you will have to apply for a reinstatement of your license.

You can either renew your license online or through the mail.
