Your Next Bath Needs This Type Of Salt

Posted by Go Green Media on April 21st, 2019

Creating the perfect bath recipe for what ails you is a bit like making a bowl of great soup.  Start with a really great base and then add ingredients as needed. We typically use 2 types of base mineral salts for Simple Jane recipes. One is a pure, clean salt mixture with Epsom salts mixed in with kosher grade salts and minerals. The other is more of a deep mineral soak rich with iron, potassium, made for deep recovery.

Go Beyond Just Epsom Salt

Having a good mineral base mix is a must. We keep a bag of Simple Jane Plain Jane Mineral Salt Soak with us wherever we go because it's so easy to adapt to what we need. Here are some basic “must have” Ingredients to keep on hand to create your own soak mix.

  •      Himalayan Sea Salt
  •      Pure, Unscented Epsom Salt
  •      Kosher Grade Redmond Unrefined Minerals
  •      Pure CBD Oil

The abundance of natural trace minerals in Redmond unrefined salts provides healing properties for the skin and body. Toxins are released from the body into the bath water through osmosis, while trace minerals from the sea salt are absorbed through the skin.

Benefits of bathing in unrefined mineral salts include:

  •      Soothing Stiff, Sore & Aching Muscles for pain relief
  •      Detoxification & Cleansing – use it post-workout or after a session in the infrared sauna
  •      Improving Circulation
  •      Promoting Sound, Restful Sleep
  •      Remineralizing the Body
  •      Stress relief

What is the difference between Redmond Bath Salt and Epsom Salts?
Epsom salts are refined salts made up of magnesium sulfate, which has anti-inflammatory properties. Unfortunately, many Epsom salts on the market are loaded with synthetic fragrance. Not only does Redmond Bath Salt contain a natural source of magnesium, it also has numerous other trace minerals that benefit your body in so many other ways.

Choose Essential Oils Wisely

We recently discovered one of the most popular brands of bath soak uses artificial fragrances in their products.

If you are purchasing a bath bomb for pain relief, it’s important to also consider the ingredients. While the fizzing of the bath bomb may be fun, the ingredients that create the fizz may be drying out your skin. Using a mineral bath soak cured with CBD oil like Simple Jane’s On The Mend Bath Soak.

Using cheap essential oils can also turn toxic when exposed to certain heat and light conditions. Make sure to take precaution when choosing the right essential oil for your woes. Some great essential oils for pain, sleep and relaxation include Lavender, Peppermint, Lemongrass & Eucalyptus.

Seal The Deal With A Post-Bath Massage Oil

After enjoying a deeply therapeutic soak, don’t leave your skin hanging. You’ve restored all the essential trace minerals, now it’s essential to lock in the hydration and benefits by sealing.

Use your favorite high-grade body oil and apply while still damp from the bath. You can use coconut oil, sesame oil, or one of Simple Jane’s CBD Massage oils for added benefit. On The Mend can be used as an all-over body oil, as well as Blessed CBD massage oil.
