Though there are several pillars of Masjid e Nabvi ﷺ, here we are going to discuss some of the major pillars of it which have interesting facts to learn the credibility.

1. Ustuwaanah Hannanah (the weeping pillar)

Ustuwaanah Hannanah which is also called the Ustuwaanah Mukhallaq is the most blessed of the pillars as this was the fixed for Salah from the Prophet’s (ﷺ). On this place there grew a date palm tree. Before making the pulpit (Mimber), the Prophet (ﷺ) used to lean on it while addressing. When the Mimber was completed, the Prophet (ﷺ) used it for delivering the sermon. When the palm tree was pulled, it cried in such a way that the gloomiest sound spread all around and then Prophet ﷺ hold it tightly and gradually it normalized.

So, that was the reason it is called the pillar of weeping. The Prophet (ﷺ) then said: “The tree cries because the zikr of Allah was near it, and now that the Mimber is constructed it has been deprived of this zikr in its instant area. If I did not place my hand on it, it would have cried thus till the Day of Qiyamah.” Later the tree dried up and was suppressed. The pillar is frequently visited by the devotees who go to Madinah after performing the Hajj through cheapest Hajj packages 2020 in the Grand Mosque (Al-Haram).

2. Ustuwaanah Sareer:

‘Sareer’ is an Arabic word which means sleeping place. It is described that the Prophet (ﷺ) performed Itikaf Ibadah here also, and used to sleep here during Itikaf. A display place of wood used to be put here for him to sleep on.

3. Ustuwaanah Taubah

Ustuwaanah Taubah is also known as Ustuwaanah Abu Lubabah. In fact, Abu Lubabah (RA) was one of the famous Sahaba. And before Islam, he had many dealings with the Jews of Banu Quraizah. Because of trading unfaithfully, so when they were imprisoned during the Battle of the Trench, he told them that they were to be killed by making a sign across his throat. After doing what he said, he had become so sorrowed at that haste doing that he could not repose.

So, he entered the Masjid at that spot where a date-tree used to stand, he bound himself to the stem saying: “As long as my repentance is not accepted by Allah, I shall not unfasten myself from here. And the Prophet ﷺ himself must undo my oaths.” When the Prophet (ﷺ) heard this he said: “If he had come to me I would have pleaded mercy on his behalf. As he had acted on his own starting, I cannot unfasten him until his regret has been accepted.”

For many days he did not untie by anyone even his wife and daughter, he just left the spot at the time of Salah. Eventually, Jibrael came with the message of forgiveness and delivered to the Prophet ﷺ. In that way, he was united by the blessed hands of Prophet ﷺ. Pillar is also found by the Authorized Agents who know each spot of Masjid e Nabvi.

4. Ustuwaanah Aisha (RA)

This was the place where Prophet (ﷺ) offered his Salah and afterward moved to the place at Ustuwaanah Hannanah. It is also known as the Ustuwaanah Qu’rah. The fact behind was that Aisha (RA) reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “In this Masjid is one such spot that if people knew the true blessed nature thereof, they would flock towards it in such in a manner to offer Salah there they would have to cast such lots (i.e. Qu’rah).”

Several people insisted her to point out the exact spot but she refused to clue. Later on, at the determination of Abdullah bin Zubair (RA) she pointed to this spot. Hence it is called Ustuwaanah Aisha since the Hadith is described by her and the exact spot was shown by her. It is a fact that Abu Bakr and Umar (RA) very often used to pray here.
