Runescape was paused for nearly 45 minutes

Every participant that had previously level 94 in battle skills and died to this bug lost their damage potential. Players who grinded for armor and the best weapons were given replacements. Many players were upset, losing a week's worth of progress because of an issue that has been outside of their control. The official commentators for its event clarified that this fix was that the fairest for everybody involved. The 128 players that are changed will at least get an opportunity. The commentators estimated twenty minutes for all players to be revived and the championship to continue.

Fast forward two hours, and the championship was at a standstill. Some players obtained new accounts to play on, such as a streamer that was popular SkillSpecs, content creator, and dwell guest participant.
