One of the easiest ways to combat stagnation would be to create a social media presence for your restaurant. It will provide a bridge between you and your customers and will allow you to interact with both supporters and future patrons. As if that is not enough, maintaining a social media presence is barely going to cost you anything compared to traditional advertising.

Make improvements to your menu, but do not get carried away

When some restaurant owners think about improving the menu, they often associate it with a complete revamp. However, you do not need to make any drastic changes to improve your list of recipes. Have a look at what recipes sell compared to those that do not, and make comparisons between the two. You could find a pattern in the winning recipes that could very well be the answer you need.

On the other hand, if you are interested in adding new recipes, consider going for dairy-free or health-conscious recipes. Respect your staff

When your employees are happy, they will make more of an effort to make the customers feel wanted. A high-stress situation paired with neglectful practices will only cause your staff to resent the management - which could end up in terrible reviews.

It can be challenging to pull your restaurant out of stagnation, which is why it is critical to start as early as you can. Always respect your staff, make little improvements on your menu over time, and focus on earning exposure and respect through social media.
