Whether to hire a travel agent or not?

In Indian territories like Mizoram, Manipur and Nagaland; visitors no longer need permits to visit but have to register their check in and out at the nearby police station.

Accommodation

As tourism is still developing in Northeast India, you may not find may five star hotels or accommodation here. Even finding a decent room can be difficult sometimes. The best way to book your accommodation is via a tour agent.  Frequent power outages, bucket showers, squat toilets and sometimes limited eating options can also bother you.

While in Northeast India, you will be cut off from rest of the world for most of the time because of inadequate phone or internet service. In remote areas, Wi-fi is not available in hotels.
