DISCOVERING THE REAL AND NATURAL HONG KONG

Being a borderless city, which also a part of the British colony till not very long ago, Hong Kong attracts the best from the global world but also, grooms local talent. HONG KONG GLOBAL GEOPARK

You can either hike to the Geo Park or take a thrilling speed boat to tour the island. Amidst the enthralling ride, the jaw dropping landscapes of Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geo Park will keep amazing you with their Volcanic and sedimentary rock structures, which have been the crowning of China from the Era of Dinosaurs. The landforms here are amazing, formed by different kind of land movement.

  • SAI WAN

The Sai Wan Beach is one of the most beautiful areas in Hong Kong. It has sandy white beaches for camping, waterfalls for cliff jumping, lagoons to kick back in, peaks to climb and cows to watch out for.

  • SAI WAN PAVILION

The trek to the Sai Wan Pavilion from Sai Wan Beach is a beautifully paved trail with breath taking views of High Island Reservoir, which cuts through small hills, making it look like fjords.

FANLING (RECONNECTING WITH THE PAST)

It is hard to imagine that Hong Kong which at present is the global financial hub studded with skyscrapers, was a home to walled villages and country side. There were 5 walled villages in Hong Kong, which were built in rectangular style and were surrounded by thick walls to hide from the pirates and Chinese dynastic attacks. It shows how Chinese people lived in a community and walled village customs were passed down through generations.

ISLAND HOPPING

  • Peng  Chau

 In these islands time has stood still and the local culture has not been engulfed by modernisation. The Peng Chau Island has a population of 5000 people and here cycle is the only mode of transport. Finger Hill is the highest point in this island from where you can get a panoramic view of the island. 70% of the people in the island are senior citizens, as if the whole island is moving in slow motion.

  • Tai O

Known as the Venice of Hong Kong, Tai O is the only remaining fishing village in Hong Kong. You can take a boat tour of the village to get a glimpse of the interior of the village and the pink dolphins. You can also walk around the village, observe the locals, relish the seafood snacks and have a meal at stilt restaurants.

TEMPLE STREET NIGHT MARKET

This market has everything from watches to T-shirts and fortune tellers. The Cat Street has glorious antiques, while flower market has good luck plants. The ladies market sells fashionable clothes and accessories.
