Summers are a trying time for your skin. The blazing sun and scorching heat can be unforgiving to your skin. Pollution and other such environmental factors take away your skin’s radiance, leaving it oily, dull, and blemished. The skin tends to look oilier and dry skin starts appearing rough and patchy. The sun ray’s intensity also tans your skin. Follow these skin care tips for flaunting your healthy skin this summer:

best skin care products

1)      Change your face wash: Remember, you have to change your face wash as you move from winter to summer. A nourishing face wash does the trick in winters while summers require a face wash that pulls out the extra oil from the skin. If you have dry skin, consider a non-foaming cleanser. This tip is ideal for those who have a combination of skin as well. Wash your skin many times to keep it refreshed and clean.

2)      Include antioxidants: Invest in a good antioxidant serum during summers. It not just hydrates but also protects the skin from environmental damages. This skin care tip is perfect for combination, oily, and dry skin people. You could include antioxidants in your diet as well. Stock up citrus fruits, green and leafy vegetables, green tea, nuts, and whole grains, to have younger looking skin.

3)      Keep the skin hydrated: Summer is the time when your skin requires hydration as well as moisture. You could invest in a good hydrating mask that you can use a couple of times in the week. Wash your face and apply the mask as mentioned on the packet. These face mask hydrate, repair, and soothe your skin. One of the positive aspects of this skin care tips is it treats other skin related concerns such as acne, oil, dryness, etc. Pick the right mask and spend an additional 10 minutes in wiping those fatigue, stress, and acne from the skin.

4)      Exfoliate regularly: If you want a bright and smooth skin, then exfoliation is the key. It removes dull skin debris and piled up dead cells. The debris does not allow the skin to breathe and congests them. You can exfoliate using a simple home remedy that includes coffee grounds mixed with oil and sea salt. Remember, you need to exfoliate not just your skin but your entire body. However, be gentle while peeling. Also, do not over-exfoliate as that could lead to rashes. If you have sensitive skin, opt for mild exfoliators.

5)      Use sunscreen: Sunscreens are your best friend in summers. Opt for the one that has a broad ultraviolet spectrum. Reapply them every three hours, especially if you will be spending the entire day in the sun. Cover your hands, neck, skin, shoulders, and feet with sunscreen.

6)      Cut down on makeup: Summers means going easy on the makeup. It allows your skin to breathe. Humidity and heat stress the skin. One of the skin care tips is to avoid anything heavy on the skin. Use a tinted moisturiser, lip balm, and organic kohl to keep your skin light.

While implementing any of these tips, ensure to use the best skin care products. This way you can avoid further skin-related issues.
