Water of eyes is tears, it has important role to make eyes moist and sometime remove foreign bodies. But the condition where overflow of tears from conjunctival sac of the eye is known as watering. It is most commonly occurs when any part of the eyeball is infected or inflamed or make cause by blockage of naso lacrimal duct which is the main water drainage path of the eye.

Watering often get settle by its own way, but on the other way treatment will needed when its effects your daily life activity.

The lacrimal glands secrete lacrimal fluid, which flows through the main excretory ducts into the space between the eyeball and lids. When the eyes blink, the lacrimal fluid is spread across the surface of the eye. Lacrimal fluid gathers in the lacrimal lake, and is drawn into the puncta by capillary action, then flows through the lacrimal canaliculi at the inner corner of the eyelids entering the lacrimal sac, then on to the nasolacrimal duct, and finally into the nasal cavity. An excess of tears, as with strong emotion, can thus cause the nose to run.

It may happens in case of tumours or cysts in lacrimal glad. When eyelids are affected by any infection like stye, internal chalazion, entropion, distichiasis, conjunctival infections, allergies, corneal involvements like abrasion, ulcer, scleral inflammation, Uveitis, acute glaucoma, endophthalmitis.
