Mobile first indexing means that Google is using the mobile version of your blog for ranking and indexing data. Therefore, you monitor crawl bot traffic to your site, you may see an increase in traffic from Smartphone Google bot. The cached versions of pages will usually be the mobile version of the page. Google will rank and index your blog according to the mobile version of your blog.

SEO Strategy should be followed for Mobile First Indexing

  1. Content: Pay attention that our content should be high quality same as our desktop site. In this, images, texts, and videos all are included. 

  2. MetaData: Make sure that the meta title and meta description should be the same in both version (desktop and mobile) of the website.

  3. Structured Data: You should use equal structured markup data in your mobile and desktop version.

  4. Search Console Verification: You should make verify your mobile website in google search console.

  5. Canonical Tags: Make sure that the canonical tags are used correctly.

  6. XML and Media Sitemaps: Make ensure that all links to sitemaps should accessible to mobile site version. This also applies to robot s directives and trust signals. Like links to the privacy policy page.
