Your credit report is categorized into four segments i.e. identifying information of the individual, the credit history, public records and the various inquiries.
The identifying information will include your name, address and the social security number. If you observe some variations in your name or more than one social security number, it is because your creditor has reported it wrong. This information will always be there and cannot be removed as taking it off will disturb the relation between the report and the creditors who use it.
This portion of the credit report also includes your employers’ information like driving license number and at times, your spouse name as well.
The credit history section will comprise of a list of account numbers and this information will be encrypted. The information about the date of opening and closing will also be stated there in. if you have taken any loan, it will be showcased there. Also, the frequency of your payments against the loan will also be present.
The public records section ideally should not have anything in it. if it does, it will pull down your credit score very quickly. It will provide details about bankruptcy, judgements and tax liens.
The inquiries section will provide you information about who all have requested to view your credit report.
